Pace Bend Park

This is a hugely popular, 1368-acre Travis County Park with everything you expect from a lakeside recreation area. There are tall cliffs at the water’s edge along much of the perimeter of the park, but there is also a beach that is easy to access and popular amongst swimmers.

The interior of the park is home to 17 miles of single track of all skill level. The longest - Wookie Way - is three miles of intermediate challenge including rock gardens and tree gates. There are a few loop extensions to this trail, Including 'Rock Garden of Greatness’, a Black Diamond test of balance. after Wookie Way crosses ‘abbey road’, the riding surface gets much more mellow. This is where riders catch a break on race day and get their nutrition in.

There are a few scenic opportunities to catch a glimpse of the lake, and the park is chock-full of the finest examples of quintessential hill-country scenery. Primitive and improved camping is available, so you can make Pace bend a full weekend destination.
