Introducing MTBATX - Velorangutan Racing
It’s race week, and MTBATX - Velorangutan Racing is ready to kick off our season with the Team Trail Party Texas Enduro Cup Round 1 at Spider Mountain.
From the bottom of my heart, thanks to team co-founder @tresjalapenosmtb for all his help getting this started, and shop sponsor @velorangutan for helping us get properly geared up and dialed in. Velorangutan is the shop of choice for so many in Central Texas thanks to owner Wes Hayslip and his crew and their dedication to local riders. Wes often leads a group at #crankndrank (it’s the fast group) 💨
Our crew formed together through a shared passion for progressing our skills, supporting the community, and having the best time while we are at it. We prioritize the camaraderie over the competition, but our family extends well beyond the team. Racing brings energy and awareness to the sport of Mountain Biking, and that is also one of the central goals behind MTBATX. When we are not racing, you will find us on social rides all around Austin, or throwing dirt on trail maintenance and build days.
