maxwell slaughter creek trail
Maxwell Slaughter Creek Trail is a beautiful 5-mile intermediate loop weaving in and out of blackland prairie. There are a few chunky sections, and the last mile includes a sweet downhill blast. There is a bypass trail to shorten the loop, and a few locations where educational signage has been posted regarding the landscape. There are two scenic overlook spots offering a phenomenal view of Austin. This is one of the few sanctioned trails in the network and we are lucky to have it.
