Hi, Iām Brooks! I took over as the admin for the Austin Mountain Biking Facebook group not long before the pandemic. After COVID it seemed like a time more important than ever for people to be maintaining their physical and mental health. I didn't know my way around any of the windy trail systems and often found myself wandering in circles or stopping to stare at my phone to find the good stuff. I knew I wasn't the only one, and I knew there were people who knew the trails well and could help myself and others like me to enjoy them the way they were meant to be enjoyed so that we could come back and visit them solo. I got to meet lots of cool people and make new friends while having a blast and getting some good exercise.

Aside from helping riders connect, he has also created some other useful tools like the Bike Shop Inventory Request Form, and a robust map with shops and riding networks.
